Sergio about Corona and future plans.

With a total different ADE coming up next week due the situation in the world caused by Covid-19 Sergio Tee has some cool plans to share.
He also explains that it is weird to live in a world without bookings and great opportunities.

“Opportunities is a word that I don’t like to use in a time of changes, although we can’t see the war we really live in a sort of battlefield right now.” Sergio explains, how it is to not have bookings and that as a DJ you still have to focus on a possible next step.

“2020 is for all of us that most shittiest year! Since February I had only two payed bookings and I did some livestreams at Club Mystique Amsterdam. And the truth is, I’m not gonna complain, but… it is weird that in a blink of an eye our lives has changed so much. While the Corona virus had conquered the whole planet earlier this I started to expand my collection of Madonna items. I had to do something and so I collected some rare items. And some items are on the way right now which I found in other countries last month. Because I posted my treasures after they were delivered people started to ask me if I would like to create a mega mix of the Queen of Pop. So… last month I started to listen to Madonna’s remix album You Can Dance. This album was released November 17 in 1987 by Sire Records. I know why this album was a huge hit, the songs were remixed but the producers stayed close to the original productions and the whole album was something that inspires me for the next project. So it is true that I am working to do the same kind of thing with a selection of her singles from 1983 to 2020. At the moment I do some try-outs with the original versions of some oldies but goodies like Vogue and Holiday. But at a point the club vibe takes over, so the first part is important because that is the sound and the original sound of pop were it all began in the 80’s. In that time there were nog house mixes yet. And it’s not only what song I want to have in the tracklist I also try things with different versions and pick the best combinations of her songs. Back to the inspiration of the You Can Dance album, I really like to create a same sort of sequential experience using her most iconic songs up to the latest single I Don’t Search I Find. Beside this huge project I’m also busy with the yearly ADE mix. So we are working on it, it’s not recorded yet because we are working on the selection of tracks, we are in the last phase now. The artwork is finished and it really shows the impact of the empty clubs. For the artwork we used a photo that I took at a livestream this Summer in combination with a special effect photo with bright colors and of course the logo of Amsterdam Dance Event. The cover will be revealed next week with the mix set. I really wanted to show my feelings in that photo and so I started to work on this idea. A third project is a new track with WhiteTronicZ will be recorded soon. The second track I See Your World was released by Rough Y Bianco Records on September 25th on all major platforms and it’s awesome. This tune ws their second track and we can’t wait to work on the third track. Yes, with this situation in the world we really have to survive by keeping up the creative works. And I admit, sometimes it is really difficult. Especially not playing in a club with party people. I do really miss the crowd and the energy. But for all of you out there, please take your responsibility, stick to the rules and stay safe.”
